Everyday Amazingness: Review of A Pony Called Steve

When the lovely Emma from A Pony called Steve asked me to select some products so she could send them to me for review, I was absolutely delighted.

To begin with, I fell in love with its name; and knowing that the products are not tested on animals made the Pony even more lovable!

Apart from the cute Brand name that I couldn’t get off my mind, the thing that struck me the most was the non-conventional range of fragrances. I had a hard time picking what I wanted to try out. So I went with the fragrance names and the descriptions that intrigued me the most. Here’s the range that I tried out.

The range of products from A Pony called Steve that I tried out. I'm so much in love with them.

Solid Perfume

It’s the tiniest of the lot, but this is the one that I was most excited to try out. The moment I read ‘Solid Perfume’, my immediate thought was “Why didn’t I discover this before!!”

It’s so compact – perfect for the handbag (and even the pocket), and the best bit is I wouldn’t need to worry about it being in my hand baggage when I’m travelling.

To use the solid perfume, all I needed to do was to pick some of the fragrance with the warmth of my fingers and apply it to the pulse points.

Since the perfume (just like the other products) is made with natural ingredients, I even rubbed in some of the perfume to my hair so that the fragrance stays a little longer. Now that’s something I could never imagine doing with a regular liquid perfume.

Every time I use it I can’t help but have a wide smile because I know I smell amazing.

I’ve been using it for almost a week and I now know that this small tin is going to last me a long time. I know I’ll be getting a couple of more because I can’t wait to try the different fragrances. This is clearly my new obsession.

This little thing is clearly my new obsession.

Soap Bar

When the description of the Hothouse Flowers soap bar read – ‘flowing through a beautiful garden’, I thought to myself – I’d love to experience that for my morning showers.

The moment I opened the box, I fell in love with its beautiful fragrance.

I loved using this soap bar and loved it even more when the soft foam built up with the loofah. My bathroom was literally filled with this amazing smell once I was done.

The ultimate test of a soap bar is when used on the face! My face didn’t feel stretchy as it did even with some of the facewashes I’ve used. That’s when I knew I found a gem.

I hadn’t used a soap since over a decade (only body wash). But now I know that a soap like this can take a morning ritual to just another level. All we need to do is, pick the right one!

Body Lotion

A pea-sized amount of this body lotion left this enchanting smell that I went for a little more. Of the three fragrances I tried, this one turned out to be my favourite.

The lotion got absorbed instantly. I could even work on my gadgets seconds later without my hands feeling greasy. That makes a good test for a body lotion right?

After using this lotion at bedtime, I was pleasantly surprised to have its wonderful smell lingering until morning. So this is what I’m thinking – if I am a body lotion everyday, might as well use one that does more than what it’s meant for. This one feels soft and light, definitely a few notches above the ones that I’ve been using.
